“Forest of Resonating Lamps — One Stroke, Cherry Blossoms”
Who don’t know TeamLabs
works? In the past year they had many exhibition and got a big success from it,
this March they will make exhibition to welcoming this year spring season.
Like other popular
interactive art installation, this time TeamLab will be held seasonal
exhibition at Digital Art Museum in Tokyo, Odaiba. The art is reflecting
transition of the Japanese cherry blossom natural phenomenon, the main color
will be using variety of pink shades arrangement reflections in the lighting to
evoke emotion and sense of wonder. At the same time, five extra flowers color
will be transmitted through display of the exhibition, with result, the guest
will be able to see themselves in the shade of flower such as Golden Kerria,
Kerria Sprout, Blue Kerria Flowers and Peach.
There are two display on “Forest
of Resonating Lamps-One Stroke, Cherry Blossoms” for this spring only. First is
cherry blossom exhibits, with clear pink-lit lamps and spring hills; the second
is fields display showing five different flower colors, including four of
Japanese Kerria and Peach. When a person stand next to the light, the light
resonates with the next two lights and then spreads the light through the room.
This is done until all the lights are lit before returning to the first light,
there is still more feature of this display, when the light comes out from
another person, the light emits a combination of all the lights that comes with
it until extended time span. So, if the light comes from the other side, there
is someone else there. With this experience, people will be aware of existence
of other people in the same space even you cannot see the person.
