Transportation Tips
Tokyo is a busy and fast-pacing city. One of the first things to believe is how impressive public transportation is, even in suburbs and far-flung areas. You can easily get roughly anywhere.
Once you step on the soil of Tokyo, get yourself an IC Card. There are two popular prepaid IC Cards in the city namely: Suica (green card with a Penguin) powered by JR East for JR trains, subways, and bus in the greater Tokyo area and PASMO (pink card with a bus and train photo) for Tokyo's railway, subway and bus operators. Either of the two will be fine. These cards will be your helping hand during your stay as they allow you to tap in and out of any bus or train station without worrying about buying a ticket. You can also use the cards for vending machines and several restaurants and shops. You can refill the credit at any train station.
